A look and guide to some of the hottest fashion finds of the season in the current animal print trend.
I never realized how much I liked animal print in fashion until it became a trend this year...I guess I was either ahead of the curve or wearing it when it wasn't in style?!@????
The truth is I think animal print never seems to go out of style.
Someone recently said to me "I think it is always around in some form or fashion "in fashion" and it adds a little edge in a big or small way it is a "guilty pleasure" in fashion. You can be dressed in a dress and when its leopard well "whoa baby" you just took it up a notch!"
As I wrote this post I realized how many skin shoes and clothing items I had in my wardrobe, and many of them were quite old, but similar styles seem to still be out there from many various designers.
Not that I would wear these all together but as you can see I have been stocking up on leopard for quite a while. The shoes are old. The shirt is new from Veronica Beard and the skirt is from Nilli Lotan.
I have recapped some of my favorite pieces of the season here for you and linked them.
I love them all and even if you say you aren't the animal print/leopard type, there are many choices below that you can include in your wardrobe in a big or small way just to give you a touch of the current animal print trend.
Put your best foot forward and step into the wild side!
Maybe just add a touch of skin with shoes?
I really think of skin and leopard as a neutral. Looks great with denim and black and brown, and try it with a pop of color. So fun!!
To start with I have rounded up a collection of shoes from flats, to heels and sneakers to boots. Check out some of my favorites.
I love this heel with dresses or jeans. Paris Texas Boots
You could also just do a touch of animal print with a shirt or a blouse.
I know I will get a lot of use out of my Veronica Beard leopard blouse below.
Another option to get your animal print in a subtle way is to do a soft and easy sweater like this one below from Brochu Walker. I love these easy V necks they do every season with the collar and hem peaking out. This new take on and old style has just a "touch" of leopard.
I have a new found favorite for t shirts and that is ATM. They make the softest cotton and the fit is great. They stepped out of the old solid box and hopped on the trend with this leopard print T below.

Nothing is easier than just popping on a dress and stepping into a pair of shoes. I am definitely a dress person as it makes the morning rush and quick change for meetings and events so easy! Here are some cute option I found from various vendors.
This Dress from Zara works for many different occasions and places. With a change of shoes and accessories. It is slightly more subtle in this muted print and priced well from Zara.
This Intermix Dress is a great way to hit the cocktail or party circuit!
I'm crazy about this Ganni Dress! I have been seeing this vendor in many of the stores around, but recently stopped in their boutique in Oslo and Copenhagen. This new Danish designer has a whimsical and casual approach to dressing and I loved the mix of color and print in this denim dress for the weekend and casual sneaker days.
These three pieces are all from Ganni at Intermix.
You may be seeing me in this green zebra silk sometime this fall!:)
Love this dress below from Zadig & Voltaire. I always stop at their boutiques when I encounter them. They work with great fabrics and the fit is great. I happen to buy this style dress in a spring print and I found it so comfortable and easy to wear. This just a arrived in stores in red leopard.
I picked up this skirt below from Nanushka and think its a good transition piece and I can wear it with boots, heels or even sneakers and a t-shirt.
Some other great find below. Go to dinner with this Nili Lotan slip dress. Throw on a leather jacket or a sweater. The skirt works with anything, anytime!!

If you like a more graphic look...here is a fun pair of chinos from Nili Lotan and an easy dress from Zara.

I loved this teal animal print bag. Another cute way to just pop with animal print from Zara. I have to admit it was fairly tiny. It was inexpensive tho and would be a fun find and item to add to an all black little black dress or jeans for going out at night.
Get casual on the weekend with these Golden Goose sneakers or washed animal print R13 jeans!
I know not everyone want to be this bold but I LOVED all of these animal print Coats!
I'd like them all!!!!
This Free People Coat looks great with a pop of color and of course with black and white.
I am really partial to this Veronica Beard coat. The fit is great and it works with a dress, jeans or anything. I feel this is the perfect in between to dress up or down and the print is muted enough to not feel like it is overpowering.
Nili Lotan made this very elegant version with a retro feel. I definitely get a little 70's vibe seeing this coat. The quality and feel was very luxurious as well.
If you are looking for the best of the best of "where the wild fashion pieces are" I hope we had something to inspire you here.
Hope your weekend is great and full of "wild" fun!
I'll be back soon with a great "Wild Thing" playlist!!!:)
