I've decided that color plays a big part in how you feel and live. So I've decided I'm going to highlight a color every month because in one form or another, it seems to sneak into all parts of our lifestyle. We're ending the year at the holiday time, and green just feels right. Right now, I am in LOVE with everything green!!

Here are some of my favorite ways to bring green into your lifestyle...
Flowers make everything so much better!! Make your house more lively with some GREEN colored plants in the winter. It's crazy how dreary winter can be, but paper whites make things feel a touch brighter and lighter. Perfect when there's not much color outside!
I am loving green accented with silver and gold for decor! Grey is an unexpected combination at times, and I think it's a really chic look.
I also think green is such a great color for fashion. This green jacket from Veronica Beard is on my wish list. This could totally live in my closet! I could see it with black and white, or even jeans and a t-shirt. I love green with denim... Blue is another great accent color for anything in the green family.
Here are some other GREEN items I have in my own closet! I love to accent the green with other colors, sometimes a rusty shade of red and warm autumn colors.
This green silk Vince shirt was a great addition to my wardrobe for fall... its great with jeans and boots and I can dress it up with a suede skirt and go to cocktails and dinner.
I'm loving this Chanel green nail polish for my winter nails! The emerald green color is to DIE for.
And of course, I can't forget about GREEN food accents. I love putting an unexpected item like M&Ms in a beautiful silver dish. My grandmother gave this dish to me. I love having family memorabilia around, and it adds a nice elegant accent to my decor. The colorful M&Ms give it a quirky little touch.
But food and fashion aren't the only green things that I love... I am in love with this beautiful green-blue couch from cb2!!! For some reason, I have just always loved chaise lounges. I've had one in all my other homes, but I don't have one now. So I'm just thinking this settee below just may have a new home soon-ish.
I really can't have another big COUCH in my house, but if I could, I would totally go for this green velvet baby here. Check it all out at cb2....
I've been dreaming about this color for quite a while. I just did an event at the iconic Ziegfeld Theater in New York. Master designer David Beahm from David Beahm Destinations designed this amazing room, and we had green couches that were very similar to the ones above. It looks like it belongs to me, right??!?! Too bad I don't have another room...
Green is even showing up in my food these days... how great do these salmon macaroons and mini tacos styled and beautifully presented in these limes look by Peter Callahan?? He's is one of the most creative caterers I have ever met as you can see below from a recent party we just had. His appetizers are just WOW, WOW, WOW!!
All I know is that everything I encountered this month in green sure was chic and stylish and made my head turn. I hope you have enjoyed my green story and gained a little inspiration from all the food, fashion and decor that graced my lifestyle this month!
